I’m wondering if more and more we will need to teach our young ones how to communicate well.  I’m thinking about all the new technology we have now and the different way we are communicating with each other.  We use places like facebook, use texting,  and email to interact with each other.   All non face to face and non voice to voice communication.  I think this is really really scary!  Those who don’t want to face up to someone will hide behind this technology, those who want to be rude, and wouldn’t normally be so face to face, may use this method.  Already young people think it’s ok to drop a girlfriend or boyfriend by txt.  To me even asking someone by txt on a date is rude.   The question is how do we ensure people communicate well, communicate politely and with respect?  I can feel schools taking on even more of a burden.  Parents will need to step up here and teach their children standards around communication technology just the same as teaching table manners.  Maybe Nigel Latta will need to do a parent training on communication!
